SMARTINNO PROJECT PRESENTED AT BPW CLUB PULA (ISTRIA)
Innovation for Business Professional Women

Smartinno project representatives, Kristina Hlavati and Katarina Kostelić from Juraj Dobrila University of Pula attended BPW (Business Professional Women) Pula Club’s monthly reunion. The meeting was opened by the BPW Pula Club’s President dr.sc. Alida Perkov, who announced the programme and presented the memebers of the Executive Board: Mrs Nives Tomišić and Mrs Darinka Buršić. BPW is a non-government international organization founded in 1931 in Geneva, which operates among 112 world-wide countries. BPW – First Croatian Club is the only Associated Club in the area of South – East Europe.

The Club consists of 200 members in Istria. Club’s core programme is business informing, business education and business lobbying. Istrian Club was founded in March 2001.

Kostelić and Hlavati presented Smartinno project to BPW network members an invited them all to mutual collaboration. Possible fields of collaboration between Smart Inno and BPW were identified in the area of networking and business linkage, participating in project activities, active participation in identifying the problems in the area of innovation and business, including solution proposals.

Smart Inno representatives invited all the BPW members to attend the regional conference that will be held in May 2015 from 21-23, on behalf of the organizers from the University and Istrian Development Agency. The conference “European Future Perspectives: Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Economic Policy” will put an accent on the themes of innovation, entrepreneurship and economic policies and is designed as a meeting of scientists, innovators and entrepreneurs who will have an opportunity to attend lectures of the keynote speakers, presentations of scientific researchers and interactive workshops with a goal of enabling discussions and development of cooperation.
